Beginning Monday, December 4th, Myofu-An Dojo of Connecticut will be located within Soulcraft Martial Arts, 1125 Dixwell Ave., in Hamden. Soulcraft is a 6000 square foot training facility hosting Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Krav Maga, and Muay Thai, and our bujutsu practice will compliment the current offerings nicely.
All Myofu-An adult and youth classes will follow our existing schedule: Adults Mon/Wed/Fri 7:30-9pm; Kids Mon/Fri 6:30-7:30pm.
We would like to thank Brad Wolfson, owner of Soulcraft, for making this happen. And a special thank-you to Dr. Katey Hauser of Thrive Chiropractic and Angela Amendola of The Blue Buddha: over the past several years of training within the Thrive facility, we have enjoyed considerable growth as a dojo; we’ll miss you, and we will be grateful always.
The North American Myofu-An Kobujutsu Kenkyu-kai Fall 2017 Masters’ Gasshuku will be held the weekend of October 21st and 22nd. The event will take place at CT Budo Karate in Monroe, Connecticut.
We will train for two full days. Gasshuku is always a great experience for all attendees – it’s an excellent opportunity to learn some methods from Japanese martial arts in great detail and to work with instructors and students from the Myofu-An organization across North America.
Please contact us for more information.
Classes at the dojo will be cancelled from Wednesday, December 21st, through Monday, January 2nd. We will resume our normal training schedule Wednesday, January 4th.
We’re having an end-of-year training intensive on Saturday, December 10th, from 12:30-4:30, which will be followed by dinner and holiday cheer!
We will be working on details of toride kihon and gyaku waza controlling techniques from the fingers to the shoulder.
Don’t miss this last opportunity to all get together before we ring in the new year.
$20 for members, $30 for non-members to cover facility costs.
Hope to see you all there!
